Kurt Gorm Larsen's eyes were opened to the wonders of aviation with the opening of his hometown airport in the mid-seventies. He was a lad of fourteen at the time. Although trained as a chemist, he stayed clear of chemical film and did not venture into photography until the arrival of digital cameras.

Over the past few years he has built up an extensive library of photos taken at northern European airports. Always looking for that "other" angle, Kurt is not bound by the traditionalist's view of an aircraft image.

Kjell Oskar Granlund started in the dark room at the age of six. Since then he has graduated from black-and-white nature and news photography to focusing on aviation on digital media.

His main interest is in civil aviation. A historian at heart, he is actively involved in maintaining Norway´s aviation heritage. In cooperation with the Norwegian Aviation Museum and CAA Norway, he walked the halls and runways of
Oslo´s Fornebu Airport documenting this wonderful airport for posterity.

Kjell is a photojournalist and contributing editor to Airways - the US-based aviation monthly. He is also a regular contributor to the Norwegian journal Flynytt.
